Conference Announcement / Call for papers 2010 WINTER GLOBAL CONFERENCE ON BUSINESS AND FINANCE Kailua-Kona, Hawaii January 3-6, 2010 You are invited to participate in The 2010 Global Conference on Business and Finance (GCBF) – Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. The Conference, sponsored by The Institute for Business and Finance Research, LLC (IBFR), will be held from January 3-6, 2010 at Keauhou Beach Resort in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Theoretical and empirical papers in all areas of business, finance, marketing, management, accounting, MIS, public administration, economics, business law, business education, agribusiness, health care administration and related fields are welcome. Papers do not need to be global in nature. English and Spanish language sessions will be offered. An Internet Session will be offered for those unable to make the trip to Kailua-Kona. Early submissions are greatly appreciated. All submissions must be in Microsoft Word or Acrobat PDF format. Include the contact information for all authors on the first page of the document. BENEFITS OF ATTENDING JOURNAL PUBLICATION The Conference is affiliated with seven peer- reviewed journals: The International Journal of Business and Finance Research, International Journal of Management and Marketing Research, Global Journal of Business Research, Accounting and Taxation, Business Education and Accreditation, Agribusiness Research and Revista Internacional Administración & Finanzas. Our journals are included in EBSCOHost providing access to Journal content in more than 70 countries. All our English Journals are listed in Cabell’s and Ulrich’s Periodical Directory. The International Journal of Business and Finance Research and Global Journal of Business are indexed in The American Economic Association's Econlit, e-JEL and JEL on CD. Spanish language papers are published in Revista Internacional Administración & Finanzas. Papers honored with the Outstanding Research Award at the conference will be offered publication in one of our journals. PUBLISHING IN THE REFEREED CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS Publishing in the Refereed Conference Proceedings is free to registered and paid conference attendees. You can publish a 200- word abstract, a 5-page version of your paper or a full paper (not to exceed 12 properly formatted pages). OUTSTANDING RESEARCH AND BEST IN SESSION AWARD Registered and paid attendees can submit their paper for award consideration and possible publication in one of our journals. Award winners will receive a certificate and Award Plaque at the award luncheon. Best in Session Award Winners will be selected in each session. Award winners will receive a certificate at the award luncheon and are invited to submit their papers for possible publication. CONFERENCE FEES Conference registration is US$320 for the first paper. The registration fee for full-time students is $295. There is an US$80 fee for each additional paper. A $50 late fee applies for registration fees received after November 23, 2009. The networking luncheon will be sponsored by Business Education & Accreditation. The award luncheon will be sponsored by Accounting & Taxation. Additional luncheon tickets are available for purchase for those participants attending with a guest(s) or spouse. The price per ticket is $30 HOTEL INFORMATION We have arranged for a small block of rooms at the Keauhou Beach Resort at the special rate of $130 for single or double occupancy per night, plus taxes and fees. The rate includes buffet breakfast and self-parking.
