Conference Alerts RSS feeds

RSS feeds keep you updated as new conferences are added to the Conference Alerts site. You can use RSS to keep track of any page containing an RSS icon like this -

How to subscribe

  • Get an RSS reader. It is easiest to use a web-based reader such as Bloglines, but if you prefer you can download and install one of the many RSS readers that run on your computer.
  • Find the "add feed" or "subscribe" function in your RSS reader.
  • Paste the address of the feed you want to subscribe to into your RSS reader and click on the "add" or "subscribe" button. (The RSS icon links to the RSS address for a particular page, so to get the address, right click on the icon and choose an option such as "Copy Shortcut" or "Copy Link Location". Then paste the link into your RSS reader.)
  • That's it! As new conferences are added, they will appear in your RSS reader.

What Conference Alerts pages have RSS feeds?

Currently all country pages have RSS feeds, so you can for example get RSS updates as new conferences are added to the Canada page. We plan on providing RSS feeds for city pages and topic pages in future.

Where else can I get RSS feeds?

It is becoming standard practice for online service and news sources such as online newspapers and weblogs to publish RSS feeds. Just look for an orange RSS or XML icon or for a text link to "RSS", "RSS feed", "web feed" or something similar. You can also look for "Atom" or "Atom feed", which works in much the same way as RSS.

What about e-mail alerts?

You can still subscribe to receive Conference Alerts via e-mail. The advantage of e-mail alerts is that you can specify your interest profile more precisely.
